Le Bar-sur-Loup, France, January 13th 2026 – MANE acquires ChemoSensoryx Biosciences to strengthen innovation in smell, taste and trigeminal sensations

MANE is pleased to announce the acquisition of ChemoSensoryx Biosciences, a Belgian biotech company with a cutting-edge expertise in molecular mechanism of chemosensory perception mediated by olfactory, gustatory and trigeminal receptors.      

This acquisition will allow MANE to deepen its scientific understanding of how smells, tastes, and sensations like freshness or spiciness are perceived. By combining MANE’s expertise with ChemoSensoryx’s advanced research, MANE will create more innovative and precise flavour and fragrance solutions, strengthening its ability to deliver unique sensory experiences that consumers love.

ChemoSensoryx Biosciences brings a unique technology platform in receptor-based screening and predictive modelling, which will enhance MANE’s capabilities in several key areas:

  • Odour Control and Blooming Technologies: Supporting innovations such as FRESHPLEX™POWERBLOOM™, and POWERLAST™through the screening and objectification of new captive ingredients and new technologies.
  • Taste Modulation Research: Advancing our understanding of sensory perceptions like sweetness, bitterness, umami or kokumi to support the development of next-generation taste solutions.
  • Olfactory Receptor Modulation: Supporting MANE WELLMOTIONTM programme by guiding the design of flavours and fragrances that trigger targeted emotional and physiological responses.
  • Trigeminal Receptor Modulation: supporting advanced research programmes to mediate some cooling, pungent, tingling or burning sensory performances
